Understanding Different Eyebrow Tattoo Techniques
At Rise and Shine Permanent Makeup Studio, every brow is designed around your unique features, lifestyle, and desired look. There isn’t a “one-size-fits-all” technique — each method offers a different finish, texture, and level of definition.
Here’s a breakdown of the most popular eyebrow tattoo styles we offer:

Microblading
Best for: Clients who want soft, natural-looking brows that mimic real hair. Technique: Using a fine hand tool, individual hair-like strokes are placed into the skin to fill sparse areas and enhance shape. Result: Very natural, delicate, and perfect for those who want subtle enhancement without a “makeup” look. Longevity: Typically lasts 1–2 years with touch-ups.

Powder Brows (Shaded)
Best for: Clients who like a softly filled-in, makeup-like appearance. Technique: A machine gently deposits pigment in layers, creating a soft powder effect similar to brow makeup or shadow. Result: Soft and even color throughout the brow; great for all skin types, especially oily or mature skin. Longevity: Usually lasts 2–3 years before needing a color boost.

Ombre
Best for: Those who want a gradient effect—lighter at the front and darker at the tail. Technique: A shading machine technique that builds color density gradually from front to back. Result: A polished yet soft brow that still looks natural, ideal for clients who want definition and more saturation. Longevity: 2–3 years, depending on skin type and lifestyle.

Combination Brows
Best for: Clients who want both realistic texture and filled-in density.
Technique: Combines microblading hair strokes in the front with powder shading throughout the rest of the brow. Result: A fuller, more dimensional brow—defined yet natural. Longevity: 2–3 years, depending on skin type and lifestyle.
