Which Date Should I Choose?
When scheduling an appointment date for a permanent makeup procedure, keep in mind the healing time of the procedure. You need a few days afterward without social plans or strenuous activity. Depending on the type of procedure and your body’s reacton to the procedure you may experience redness, swelling, and/or oozing, You will need 3-7 days for eyebrows and eyeliner and 1-2 weeks for lip blushing.
I will provide you with all the items you will need for your aftercare for your permanent makeup. After your appointment you may want to take an OTC pain reliever, as directed by your physician.
Get ahead on your dirty work – no lawn mowing or chores that will get dirt/ bacteria on the healing area. Do not have a procedure right before going on vacation because 1) you need healing time 2) you may not be able to avoid sun, wind, or other items listed in post-care instructions, 3) if you had a question or permanent makeup problem it would be best to be near your permanent makeup artist and local physician. Do not wear your good clothes for the procedure because pigment might splatter on them. Wear something comfortable.
DDo’s & Don’ts

Eyes may be light sensitive.* Do not dye or perm lashes for 2 days prior.* Do not use eyelash curler the day of the procedure.* If you have had any type of eye surgery, consult with the physician about how long you should wait before having a permanent eyeliner procedure. Most physicians are giving a 2 month ok after cataract, lasik, and blepharoplasty.

Electrolysis should not be done for a week prior.

If you have had any type of lip surgery, consult with the physician about how long you should wait before having a permanent makeup procedure on the lips. Most physicians are giving a 3 week ok after lip filler injections like collagen or Restylane.
Also, if you take aspirin, fish oil or prescriptions, see Prescriptions section below.
Swelling
Eyebrow Tattooing
Eyebrows swell very little and typically the swelling is not noticable; however, you will be wearing tegaderm over the area for 72 hours to keep air from the lymph fluid (clear fluid) to inhibit scab formation. You will need to change the tegaderm before bed and when you wake up. If you bleed easily or if you are on blood thinners, you may need to change the bandages upon waking, mid-day and before bed.
Eyeliner Tattooing
If your eyelids swell easily, then your eyelids may be swollen by the end of the eprocedure and most likely will be swollen the morning after the procedure. The histamine reaction is determined by your body’s response to the procedure.
Lip Blush Procedures
Lip Color Tattoos may swell slightly and look good right after and 2 days following, then the skin begins to peel and the color is not unifom till all the skin sheds. Please don’t pull on the shedding skin; you may trim the skin with mini-scissoors.
