What’s the healing process like?
This section presents a brief overview of the healing process.
🗓️ Days 1–2: Fresh and Bold
Right after your appointment, your permanent makeup will look darker and more defined than expected.
This is completely normal! The pigment sits on top of your skin before it settles in.
You may notice:
- Slight redness or tenderness, Eyes and lips swell more than eyebrows. Eyeliner Healing Lip Healing
- A “wet” or shiny look from healing ointment

🗓️ Days 3–5: Scabbing and Flaking
our brows may start to flake or peel — like a light sunburn.
Do not pick at them (even if you’re tempted!). Let the flakes fall off naturally to prevent pigment loss or patchiness.
You might also notice:
- Mild itching (a sign of healing!)
- Uneven color — some spots may look lighter
- A temporary “faded” phase once flaking ends
This is all part of the process.
🗓️ Days 6–10: The “Ghost Phase”
Don’t panic if your brows suddenly seem to fade or disappear.
This is called the ghost phase, when new skin forms over the pigment, making it appear lighter or as if it’s gone.
Give it time — the color will resurface as your skin settles.

Your brows begin to soften and even out as the skin fully heals.
The true color and shape become visible, usually around week 3–4.
At this point, you’ll have natural-looking, beautifully healed brows.
